Planning Engineer

Role Overview:


We’re looking for a commercially aware and technically strong Planning Engineer/Project Planner / Scheduler to support major Australian mining, modular construction and non-process infrastructure projects.


You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Construction teams and senior leaders to develop and control integrated project schedules covering the full project lifecycle — from engineering and procurement through manufacturing, logistics, site construction, commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop, maintain and control fully logic-linked baseline and master project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6
    • Establish WBS, activity codes, calendars, milestones and schedule logic
    • Integrate engineering, procurement, fabrication, logistics, mobilisation, construction and commissioning activities
    • Resource-load and cost-load schedules to support labour, equipment, material and cost forecasting
    • Track actual progress, remaining durations, productivity, constraints and forecast completion dates
    • Prepare S-curves, resource histograms, look-ahead schedules, milestone reports and variance analysis
    • Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and identify emerging schedule risks and bottlenecks
    • Develop recovery plans and What-If scenarios when projects experience delays or changing conditions
    • Monitor procurement, manufacturing and logistics milestones
    • Support delay analysis, variations and Extension of Time (EOT) requirements
    • Proactively communicate schedule risks and recommend practical mitigation or acceleration strategies.


    What We’re Looking For:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related technical discipline
    • 5–8+ years of dedicated project planning/scheduling experience
    • Experience across Tier 1 mining, EPC/EPCM, major construction, civil infrastructure, NPI, modular or prefabricated projects
    • Expert-level Oracle Primavera P6 Professional capability
    • Strong experience building logic-linked baseline schedules, WBS and critical paths
    • Hands-on experience with resource/cost loading, progress measurement and schedule reporting
    • Strong knowledge of CPM analysis, forecasting, S-curves, histograms and variance reporting
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability
    • Experience with Earned Value Management, delay analysis and EOT support is highly regarded
    • Strong understanding of construction sequencing across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, civil works, installation and commissioning
    • Experience supporting Australian projects, remote mine-site/FIFO projects, or multinational Tier 1 mining and construction organisations will be highly advantageous.
    • Willing to work in the office full-time at Arcovia City, Brgy. Ugong, Pasig City. (Monday - Friday, morning shift)
