Planning Engineer
Description
We are seeking an experienced planning engineer to join our project team in Qatar - Ras Laffan. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, updating, monitoring, and controlling project schedules while providing accurate progress reporting, schedule analysis, and forecasting for large-scale construction projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Monitor project progress and analyze schedule performance.
- Prepare progress reports, delay analysis, and recovery plans.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely execution of activities.
- Identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Support project management with planning, resource allocation, and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with project milestones and contractual obligations.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders regarding planning and scheduling matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–12 years of planning and scheduling experience in large-scale building construction projects.
- Proven experience in residential, accommodation, mixed-use, institutional, or similar developments.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (advanced level).
- Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering projects of comparable scale and complexity.
- Previous experience in Qatar is preferred; GCC experience will also be considered.
- MMUP/UPDA registration is preferred for candidates currently in Qatar and mandatory where applicable.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, and scheduling principles.
- Familiarity with Qatar Energy requirements, major clients, consultants, and local authority regulations is an advantage.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.
