Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Planning Engineer to develop and maintain project schedules for refinery and turnaround projects at Pulau Bukom, ensuring timely delivery and effective coordination across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules for engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction activities to ensure project alignment and timely delivery
  • Prepare detailed work plans and monitor progress against baseline schedules to track project status and identify deviations
  • Manage project schedules and resource loading using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project to optimize resource allocation and project flow
  • Prepare look-ahead schedules and recommend recovery plans to mitigate delays and maintain project timelines
  • Coordinate with project teams to collect actual progress data and update forecasts for accurate project tracking
  • Identify critical path activities and assess potential risks impacting project timelines to prioritize focus areas
  • Prepare and present periodic progress reports to management and clients to communicate project status and issues clearly

Required competencies and certifications

  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project for project scheduling and resource management
  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) and project scheduling principles to effectively plan and control projects
  • Willingness to work on-site at Pulau Bukom to support project execution and coordination

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical) or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in refinery or turnaround projects
  • Good analytical, coordination, and communication skills to facilitate teamwork and problem-solving
