Planning Engineer

Core Scheduling & Planning

  • Build master construction programs and milestone schedules
  • Set baseline schedules and update progress tracking throughout the project life cycle.
  • Plan work sequences, method statements, and site logistics for structural, architectural, and M&E activities.

Monitoring& Progress Reporting

  • Track daily site progress and spot critical path activities that affect deadlines.
  • Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, and cash flow curves.
  • Support the quantity surveying team with data for progress claims.

Resource& Risk Management

  • Forecast demands for labour, materials, and heavy machinery.
  • Prepare manpower histograms and resource levelling graphs to maximize productivity.
  • Identify project risks, long-lead procurement items, and prepare recovery plans for delays.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate work between main contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Interface with clients, consultants, and qualified site staff (RE/RTO) on program matters.
  • Tender submissions by creating preliminary programs and logistics proposals for new bids.

Required competencies and certifications

  • Proficient in operating Primavera P6 or MS Project planning software
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5years of project planning experience
