Planning Engineer
Core Scheduling & Planning
- Build master construction programs and milestone schedules
- Set baseline schedules and update progress tracking throughout the project life cycle.
- Plan work sequences, method statements, and site logistics for structural, architectural, and M&E activities.
Monitoring& Progress Reporting
- Track daily site progress and spot critical path activities that affect deadlines.
- Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, and cash flow curves.
- Support the quantity surveying team with data for progress claims.
Resource& Risk Management
- Forecast demands for labour, materials, and heavy machinery.
- Prepare manpower histograms and resource levelling graphs to maximize productivity.
- Identify project risks, long-lead procurement items, and prepare recovery plans for delays.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate work between main contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Interface with clients, consultants, and qualified site staff (RE/RTO) on program matters.
- Tender submissions by creating preliminary programs and logistics proposals for new bids.
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficient in operating Primavera P6 or MS Project planning software
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 5years of project planning experience
