Planning Engineer (Planner)
Summary
Planning Engineer develops and maintains project schedules for offshore wind or industrial construction using Primavera P6/MS Project, tracks progress, and coordinates with teams to meet contractual deliverables.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Planning Engineer to join our project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring integrated project schedules to ensure successful execution of EPC and offshore projects. This role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support planning, progress monitoring, reporting, and project controls throughout the project lifecycle.

Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, Sat 8am-12pm
This is a contract role until 31 Mar 2028
Responsibilities:
- Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and identify any delays or schedule risks.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and subcontractor teams to collect progress updates.
- Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports, including S-curves, look-ahead schedules, and progress analysis.
- Support manpower planning, resource allocation, and forecasting of project requirements.
- Assist the Project Manager and Project Controls team with schedule recovery plans, change management, and risk analysis.
- Prepare as-built schedules and planning documentation for project close-out.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of planning experience in EPC, offshore, oil & gas, renewable energy, or industrial construction projects.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Good understanding of project planning, scheduling, Critical Path Method (CPM), and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Strong analytical, reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are preferred.
- Primavera P6 certification is an advantage. PMP, PRINCE2, or AACE PSP certifications are preferred.
