Planning Engineer
Summary
Planning Engineer prepares tender programmes and construction schedules using Primavera P6, coordinating with teams to meet tight deadlines in Singapore’s building sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review tender drawings, specifications, contract requirements and Bills of Quantities.
Prepare tender master programmes, milestone schedules and programme narratives using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
Develop construction sequences, phasing plans, site logistics proposals and construction method statements.
Coordinate programme inputs with the Tender, QS, Project, Design, BIM, M&E and Procurement teams.
Identify critical activities, authority approvals, long-lead items and programme risks.
Prepare manpower histograms, S-curves, presentation materials and other planning deliverables when required.
Support tender reviews, interviews, clarifications and value-engineering proposals.
Hand over tender programme assumptions, commitments and risks to the project team upon award.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline.
At least two years of construction-planning experience, preferably with a Singapore main contractor.
Experience preparing tender programmes for building or civil engineering projects.
Proficient in Primavera P6; knowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel.
Good understanding of Singapore construction methods, sequencing, site logistics and BCA Buildability requirements.
Able to interpret drawings and specifications and work under tight tender deadlines.
Good analytical, coordination, communication and presentation skills.
