PLANNING MANAGER
- Reports to Project Manager
- Responsibilities will include coordinating with the company's headquarters in Korea to facilitate effective communication between the headquarters and the local office
- Coordinate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication between the site and head office to ensure smooth project execution
- Analyze, plan, and monitor construction methods including earthworks, soil improvement, drainage systems, and reclamation works
- Collaborate with design teams to review, adjust, and implement construction plans and designs, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project requirements
- Supervise and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring all operations adhere to the technical requirements and safety regulations
- Prepare progress reports and situation reports documenting project milestones, risks, and changes encountered during the construction process
- Identify and implement alternative construction methods when necessary, ensuring the successful completion of projects under various geographic and regulatory conditions
- Ensure effective budget management, cost control, and variation monitoring to achieve optimal project performance
- Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and joint ventures to address all contractual and design-related issues
- Manage safety plans, emphasizing innovative measures for large-scale earthworks and reclamation projects
- Provide periodic updates with project progression to Korean Headquarters and Singapore Branch Office in Korean
Job Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 15 years of experience in a similar position in an MNC A1 construction firm is mandatory
- Strong experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, cost estimation, and progress monitoring
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced construction techniques, including soil improvement methods (e.g., PVD, vibroflotation), artificial islands, and heavy civil works
- Proven experience in coordinating with multinational teams and managing diverse stakeholders in overseas projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Written and Spoken Korean to act as a key liaison for Korean-speaking executives, staff and partners
