Planning Manager
We're looking for a Planning Manager to join our ILIOS team based in West Burton.
Location: West Burton, Nottinghamshire
Hours: Full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

ILIOS is the Construction Partner for the UK's STEP (Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production) fusion programme, working to design and build a prototype fusion energy power plant at West Burton in Nottinghamshire. As Planning Manager, you'll play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining planning standards across this groundbreaking programme, leading the development of the Integrated Master Schedule and ensuring effective delivery of this significant clean energy infrastructure project.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Planning Manager, you'll be working within the PMO team, supporting them in ensuring effective programme delivery through high-quality planning and schedule management. Your day to day will include:
- Leading the development and continuous improvement of planning standards and best practices, ensuring consistent application of Primavera P6 across the organisation
- Owning and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule, ensuring accurate integration of project schedules, dependencies, and milestones
- Providing schedule governance and assurance, analysing performance and critical path activities to support decision-making
- Collaborating closely with project teams and project controls to ensure schedule alignment and integration of risk-informed planning practices
- Leading and coaching the planning community to drive capability, consistency, and organisational planning maturity
What are we looking for?
This role of Planning Manager is great for you if:
- You have significant experience in project planning and scheduling within complex programmes or major project environments
- You possess advanced Primavera P6 expertise, including schedule development, integration, governance, and analysis
- You have demonstrable experience developing and managing Integrated Master Schedules across multiple projects and workstreams
- You have a strong understanding of planning best practices, schedule quality standards, and critical path methodology
- You hold a professional qualification in Project Controls, Planning, Project Management, or a related discipline
