PLANS AND STUDIES OFFICER

You will serve as a PLANS AND STUDIES OFFICER in the OPERATIONS AND PLANS Department ofCOMMANDER NAVAL FORCES JAPAN . ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.***

You will be responsible for identifying briefing, researching, and proposing course of action to the Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Japan on matters affecting the U.S. Navy in Japan.

You will develop scope and constraints within which operational annexes for mutual defense cooperation and operational coordination planning are to take place between the USN and Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force.

You will plan and participate in USN/JMSDF and Joint Chiefs of Staff controlled and directed war gams and exercises by assisting in scenario preparation, serving as controller or action officer, etc.

You will arrange and participate in formal and informal discussions and seminars between USN and JMSDF organizations.
