Summary
Oversee plant breeding trials in oil palm plantations, supervise field staff, analyze results, and produce scientific reports to guide breeding programs.
Job Description Summary:
Guide and supervise other staffs and workers in the proper execution of breeding experiments according to established protocols and SOP.
Provide regular update of trials through field visits, analysis and reports. Make recommendations in a timely manner.
Job Description:
Monitor the progress of plant breeding trials in designated regions.
Regularly update trial reports.
Analyze trial results and submit scientific reports.
Arrange and supervise field workers to ensure compliance with SOPs.
Contribute to database development to support the biometry section.
Handle budgeting activities related to plant breeding trials.
Job Requirements:
Master’s degree (S-2) in Plant Breeding or Agronomy.
Bachelor’s degree (S-1) may be considered with relevant experience.
Preferably experienced in field/research work.
Knowledge of quantitative genetics and oil palm plantation systems is a plus.
Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
Strong leadership capabilities.
Willing to be based in Riau.
