Plant Maintenance Technician II

Job Summary:

The Plant Maintenance Technician II is responsible for supporting the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant equipment and facility systems. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, maintaining production flow, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Senior-level technicians may also provide guidance and support to junior maintenance team members

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment, plant machinery, tools, and facility systems
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize equipment downtime
• Inspect, test, and diagnose equipment malfunctions using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
• Fabricate, weld, and modify components as needed to support equipment repairs and improvements
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and parts inventory documentation
• Monitor maintenance supplies and request replacement parts as needed
• Assist with installation, relocation, upgrades, or decommissioning of plant equipment
• Support continuous improvement projects related to equipment performance, layout changes, and efficiency
• Follow all safety requirements, including OSHA standards and lockout/tagout procedures
• Train or assist in training new maintenance employees on proper procedures, as applicable
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned
