JK Concepts has been delivering custom commercial architectural millwork for more than 40 years. Our work can be found in healthcare facilities, corporate offices, hospitality spaces, educational institutions, and other high-profile commercial environments across the country.
We're looking for a Plant Manager who enjoys being on the production floor, developing people, and creating an environment where quality, accountability, and teamwork thrive. What You'll Do
- Lead all day-to-day production operations, including machining, assembly, scheduling, maintenance, quality, and safety.
- Build, coach, and develop supervisors and production employees while creating a culture of accountability, respect, and teamwork.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Project Management, Purchasing, and Leadership to keep projects moving efficiently from release through shipment.
- Continuously evaluate production flow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Make thoughtful adjustments to processes when needed while remaining open to new ideas and continuous improvement.
- Monitor production schedules to ensure projects are completed on time while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
- Establish performance expectations, provide coaching, and recognize employee success.
- Drive operational excellence through KPIs, production reporting, and data-driven decision making.
- Promote a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment.
- Help develop future leaders by mentoring employees and encouraging professional growth.
What We're Looking For
- Seven or more years of leadership experience in commercial architectural millwork, cabinetry, casework, or wood product manufacturing.
- Proven experience leading production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production scheduling, workflow, quality standards, and manufacturing operations.
- A collaborative leader who enjoys developing people and building strong teams.
- Someone who is adaptable, solutions-focused, and comfortable pivoting priorities as production demands change.
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and increasing operational efficiency.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Financial and operational experience managing budgets, KPIs, productivity, and performance.
- Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
