About the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Plant Manager to lead our automotive manufacturing facility. In this role, you will manage all material and human resources to achieve excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. You will drive operational profitability while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee motivation.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define strategies to achieve the plant vision, mission, and long-term goals and plans.
- Execute and track specific performance metrics across all departments.
- Deploy and maintain the corporate Operational Model to achieve plant certification.
EHS & Workplace Excellence
- Standardize safety, health, and environmental programs (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Enforce corporate compliance, clean industry standards, and risk-prevention programs.
- Sustain workplace organization and efficiency utilizing 5S methodology.
Quality & Production Control
- Oversee the quality management system to ensure zero-defect manufacturing mindset.
- Schedule production lines to meet strict JIT/JIS customer delivery timelines.
- Launch new automotive programs on time, under budget, and with flawless execution.
Financial & Talent Management
- Manage the plant P&L, operational income (OI), and annual budgets.
- Lead aggressive cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop a highly motivated, capable, and high-performing manufacturing team.
Skills
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- Experience: Proven track record in operations management within the automotive supply chain.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of JIT/JIS sequencing, automotive interiors quality standards, and EHS regulations.
Languages
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish with excellent communication skills
