The Plant Operator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Plant, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety standards, and leading staff while operating equipment. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and technical expertise in all equipment and operations. This role will participate in the operations while providing leadership and support to staff, ensuring all safety and standard operating procedures are being met.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate equipment including front-end loaders, mini loaders, excavators, screening and conveyor systems.
- Perform daily equipment inspections, troubleshoot, and minor maintenance.
- Monitor and adjust workflow to meet production demands.
- Ensure employee compliance with all company safety standards including PPE, LOTO, machine guarding and others. Develop and maintain a strong safety-first culture within the team.
- Responsible for daily production and maintenance reporting.
- Train employees on safety protocols, operational standards, cleanliness and navigating various operating systems.
- Communicate effectively with all team members and supervisors.
