Quality Assurance Technician

Unilock – Midwest Region is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance Technician to support our manufacturing operations in Aurora. In this role, you will help ensure that our concrete paving stones and retaining wall products meet the highest quality standards through testing, inspections, data analysis, and collaboration with production teams. Training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to build a career in quality assurance and manufacturing.

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician plays a critical role in maintaining product quality, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with company standards. This position works closely with operators, supervisors, and plant leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine quality assurance testing to verify product specifications and standards.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality compliance.
  • Document and report product or process non-conformance issues to appropriate plant personnel.
  • Enter test results and inspection data into ROO.AI software.
  • Partner with operators and supervisors to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Lead Quality Daily Management (DMM) meetings and report performance metrics.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Conduct weekly 5S audits to support workplace organization and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety, health, and environmental requirements.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer and tablet proficiency for data entry and reporting.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and color blends accurately.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, quality assurance, quality control, or laboratory experience.
  • Experience using digital inspection or data collection systems.

Carry out other related duties as needed to meet departmental and organizational objectives

No QA Experience? No Problem!

We are willing to train candidates who have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to learn quality assurance processes.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Salary Range - $20- $22 per hour. This is a Non-Exempt (Hourly) Position, eligible for overtime.
Compensation based on experience with the potential to earn a yearly bonus
