Carpenter Co has an immediate opening for a Plant Utility at our Russellville, Kentucky manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for operating equipment to effectively clean and support production lines, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and cleanliness standards are met.

Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the Plant Utility, you will be expected to perform thorough cleaning of Fiber and Filter lines on a nightly basis using pressurized cleaning equipment.

Your additional responsibilities as Plant Utility will include:

• Set up and operate pressure-based cleaning systems for each production line
• Remove all loose materials and debris from equipment and surrounding areas
• Ensure all water and residue are properly cleaned and surfaces are dried at the end of each shift
• Store equipment properly and maintain it in good working condition
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Skills/ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Basic mechanical aptitude required
• Proficiency in basic reading, writing, and mathematics
• Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks, including changing chains and replacing rollers
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with SAP systems
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
