Platform / Dev Ops Engineer - Infrastructure & Automation
Summary
Build and scale cloud infrastructure for a fast-growing startup, designing CI/CD pipelines and per-client deployments while automating environments with IaC and Kubernetes.
TL;DR: We’re looking for a sharp, hands-on and innovative Platform / DevOps Engineer who loves turning cloud chaos into clean, scalable systems. If rebuilding core cloud flows from scratch, structuring environments, and optimizing costs excites you - keep reading.
We're a fast-growing startup backed by top-tier investors, building powerful technology for leading clients. We move fast, ship continuously, and operate in production at scale — including dedicated, per-client installations each running a suite of interconnected services. Now we're looking for someone to take ownership of our infrastructure layer and elevate it to the next level.
This is not a maintenance role. This is a builder role.
We are searching for:
- Autonomous and proactive
- Comfortable taking ownership over messy areas
- Fast-moving but thoughtful
You Will
- Design and implement scalable CI/CD flows
- Design and operate a fleet of independent per-client deployments — version tracking, controlled rollouts, drift detection across environments
- Standardize and restructure environment & configuration management
- Introduce and enforce IaC
- Increase deployment reliability and rollback safety
- Build the tooling and processes that let us answer, at any moment: what is running on each client, and is it healthy?
- Enable developers to ship faster and safer
- Help define long-term infrastructure standards
You will work closely with the CTO and the R&D team, owning infrastructure decisions and execution.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of hands-on DevOps / Platform / Cloud Engineering experience
- Strong experience with AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, networking fundamentals)
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / similar)
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform / Pulumi / Crossplane)
- Strong Linux and systems understanding
- A pragmatic mindset - you optimize for simplicity, clarity, and reliability
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
Nice to Have:
- GitOps experience (ArgoCD, Flux) for managing state across multiple environments - advantage
- On-prem - including relevant networking knowledge - advantage
- Cloud cost optimization (rightsizing, tagging strategy, cost visibility) - advantage
- Early-stage startup experience - advantage
