Cyberpro Consulting is hiring a Platform/DevOps Engineer in Cape Town to design, build, and automate scalable AWS cloud platforms — implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes containerisation, and monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) while applying security best practices.
Cyber Pro Consulting is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer with strong expertise in AWS cloud services and open-source technologies to support the design, development, automation, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and reliable technology platforms.
The ideal candidate will have experience building and managing cloud-native environments, implementing Infrastructure as Code, automating deployments, and supporting containerised applications using modern Dev Ops practices and open-source tools.
Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment.
Manage containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Work with open-source technologies to build and support cloud-native platforms.
Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimisation.
Apply security best practices across cloud infrastructure and platform services.
Support platform reliability, availability, scalability, and disaster recovery.
Collaborate with software engineers, architects, security teams, and Dev Ops professionals.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and platform issues.
Promote automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement.
Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
Experience with Linux and open-source technologies.
Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, or Git Hub Actions.
Docker and Kubernetes.
Monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/Open Search.
Networking, security, and cloud infrastructure fundamentals.
Experience with Git and configuration management tools.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
Knowledge of cloud security and Dev Sec Ops practices.
Experience with AWS services such as EC2, EKS, IAM, VPC, S3, and Cloud Watch.
Experience with open-source platform engineering tools and technologies.
Experience working in Agile environments.
