This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Platform Engineer / Automation Tester based in the United States.

As a Platform Engineer / Automation Tester, you will play a key role in modernizing a large-scale, mission-critical application used by millions of users across the U.S. judicial system. Working in a fully remote Agile environment, you will design, implement, and optimize cloud-based test automation frameworks that improve software quality, reliability, and deployment speed. You will collaborate with developers, manual testers, and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines while supporting complex cloud-native applications. Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts for cloud-based web applications.
  • Evaluate system requirements and identify opportunities to maximize automation coverage across the software development lifecycle.
  • Configure and manage automation environments in AWS and/or Azure while supporting scalable cloud testing infrastructure.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps teams to improve release quality and deployment efficiency.
  • Develop test plans, test procedures, validation strategies, and verification documentation to ensure software quality and compliance.
  • Configure test environments, manage test data, and execute functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and manual QA teams to prioritize automation initiatives and improve testing efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, version control practices, Agile methodologies, and software development best practices.
  • Support testing of containerized applications and modern cloud-native architectures while contributing to continuous process improvements.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
    • 5+ years of experience in software test automation or platform engineering.
    • Strong expertise developing automated test scripts using technologies such as ReactJS, Node.js, Selenium, Playwright, Jest, Mocha, Chai, or similar frameworks.
    • Hands-on experience designing and configuring cloud-based automation frameworks in AWS and/or Azure.
    • Experience testing APIs, cloud services, and distributed applications.
    • Strong understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, cloud-native architectures, and container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
    • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
    • Knowledge of test execution frameworks including NUnit, TestNG, or equivalent.
    • Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, DevSecOps, source control, software build processes, and software development lifecycle practices.
    • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, written, verbal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
    • Experience automating testing for complex Java-based web applications is considered an asset.
