Summary
Platform Engineer owning AWS infrastructure and delivery pipelines using infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK, C#) to keep the platform reliable, secure, and fast to change for a NZ technology group.
Salary: $120-140K + benefits

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Within this role you will own the AWS infrastructure and delivery pipelines that the company's software platform runs on. Everything is defined as code and your job will be to keep it reliable, secure and fast to change - making the development team faster too!
This is a platform-first role, and while you will write application code when necessary, you wont be on the feature backlog.
This busy and varied role will see you responsible for:
- Infrastructure as a code
- Environments and delivery
- Reliability and security
- Data lake infrastructure
- Development
- Support
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software or platform engineering, with 2+ years hands-on with infrastructure as code in production
- A strong working knowledge of AWS: ECS, Aurora/RDS, S3, IAM, CloudFront, load balancing
- Production experience with AWS CDK
- C# experience as the application CDK and much of the platform is C#
- CI/CD pipeline ownership (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent)
- Git-based source control and branching workflows
- Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL) and Linux
Preference will be given to anyone with the following desirable skills:
- Python, for the data lake stacks
- Angular / TypeScript — some application work touches the frontend
- Terraform or CloudFormation experience alongside CDK
- Observability tooling beyond CloudWatch
- Work for a business that empowers their employees
