Platform Engineer Core Systems

You will own the bare-metal platform and the Rust libraries that standardize logging, metrics, tracing, secrets, and configuration. You will provision, configure, secure, deploy, and observe multi-region infrastructure; operate validators; build safe key-access controls; improve deployment reliability; and resolve production incidents.

Responsibilities

• Own internal Rust libraries for logging, metrics, tracing, secret access, credential access, and configuration
• Build policy-enforcement proxies for signing and key access
• Own provisioning, configuration, secrets, delivery, observability, and on-call operations
• Make host configuration reproducible across a multi-region bare-metal fleet
• Build deployment tooling that updates production without dropping transactions or missing slots
• Operate Solana validators and supporting infrastructure
• Run and extend metrics, logging, and alerting systems
• Investigate incidents, fix root causes, and prevent recurring problems

Requirements

• Proficiency in Rust and designing crate APIs
• Experience building adopted internal libraries or platform APIs
• Deep Linux and networking fundamentals
• Production bare-metal operations experience across regions and providers
• Infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management experience
• Experience with secret management, PKI, certificate lifecycles, and credential rotation
• Deep familiarity with Solana or the ability to build protocol fluency quickly
• Ability to own, investigate, ship, and operate solutions for underspecified production problems
