Platform Engineer, Data Operations

Allocate is transforming private market investing by enabling RIAs and family offices to seamlessly discover, model, and manage their private market exposure. Our platform combines curated fund and co-investment opportunities with institutional-grade infrastructure.

• Design, build, and operate reliable, scalable backend services and data pipelines
• Work across AWS cloud infrastructure to ship and run production systems
• Improve performance, reliability, and observability of owned systems
• Automate manual processes and reduce operational overhead
• Write high-quality, well-tested, maintainable code within a cross-functional squad

• 4+ years of backend or data engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python or a similar language
• Hands-on experience building and operating production systems on AWS
• Experience designing reliable, scalable data pipelines or backend services
• Solid SQL and data fundamentals
• Proficiency with Git and version control systems
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or Cursor)
• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments (AWS ECS/EKS)
• Experience with Snowflake or other modern data warehouses
• Workflow or process automation experience
• Background in fintech or financial data
