Overview
We're hiring a hands‑on Platform / Dev Ops Engineer to join a small, high‑impact platform team. This is a “boots‑on‑the‑ground” execution role— not advisory— focused on building, operating, and improving the infrastructure and tooling that enables 100–150 engineers to ship code efficiently and reliably. You'll work closely with a lean team (Principal + Senior Engineers) and play a critical role in day‑to‑day platform operations, automation, and developer enablement.
What You'll Do
- Operate and improve platform tools to support engineering teams (triaging tickets, resolving build issues, handling access/secrets/env setup).
- Manage Kubernetes environments: deployments, Helm charts, namespaces, rollout troubleshooting.
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI preferred; Jenkins/GitHub Actions acceptable).
- Maintain and improve self‑service workflows, templates, and developer “golden paths.”
- Work with observability tools (Prometheus, Alertmanager, Thanos, Open Telemetry) to monitor systems and improve signal quality.
- Assist with service instrumentation across logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Contribute to documentation: runbooks, onboarding guides, SOPs.
- Participate in on‑call rotation and support incident response.
- Optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and reliability.
- Automate repetitive tasks using scripting (Python/Bash).
Must‑Have Requirements
- 6+ years in Platform Engineering / Dev Ops / SRE / Infrastructure roles.
- Strong AWS experience (IAM, EC2/EKS, S3, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Deep Kubernetes expertise: operating and maintaining clusters; building Kubernetes environments.
- Hands‑on Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- Python scripting for automation and tooling (mandatory).
- Experience owning and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong Linux fundamentals.
- Solid understanding of observability concepts (metrics, logs, tracing).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GitLab CI.
- Exposure to Open Telemetry API integration or tooling development (Python/Go/Java).
- Experience supporting large engineering teams (100+ developers).
- Familiarity with security in CI/CD or infrastructure workflows.
- Multi‑cloud exposure (Azure/GCP alongside AWS).
- Background in mid‑size, modern engineering organizations.
What We’re NOT Looking For
- No Kubernetes experience.
- Bash‑only engineers (no Python).
- Pure consulting/advisory profiles.
- Pure security‑focused candidates.
- Heavy enterprise/banking‑only backgrounds.
- ML/Data Science profiles.
Team Structure
- 1 Principal Engineer
- 1 Senior Engineer
- 1 Engineer (India)
