Platform Engineer

Weare looking for Platform Engineer to help build and modernize reliable, high-performance investment technology. This role is suited to be an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems in financial markets and wants meaningful ownership of systems used in day-to-day investment decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain production-grade applications using C# and modern .NET.
- Build and enhance trading, risk, pricing, portfolio, market-data, and post-trade systems.
- Develop services and APIs supporting trade booking, positions, P&L, exposure, valuation, and risk analytics.
- Improve system performance, scalability, reliability, observability, and operational supportability.
- Contribute to the modernization of legacy applications and migration towards cloud-based, service-oriented platforms.
- Work with Redis, relational databases, messaging systems, and distributed-computing components where appropriate.
- Write comprehensive units, integration, regression, and automated tests.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, incident investigation, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline preferred.
- 10+ years of experience developing enterprise applications, APIs, services, or distributed systems in C# and .NET.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design, concurrency, asynchronous programming, and software architecture.
- Experience with SQL and relational database design.
- Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD, source control, and modern software-development practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Disciplined approach to software quality, documentation, operational readiness, and production support.
- Domain exposure highly desirable: buy-side investment management, hedge funds, investment banking, or capital markets technology.
- Exposure to trading, order management, execution, portfolio management, post-trade processing, market data, pricing, valuation, P&L, positions, exposure, or risk systems.
- Modern .NET,ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, gRPC, event-driven architecture, Redis, SQLServer/PostgreSQL, Azure or other cloud platforms, andDocker/infrastructure-as-code.
