Summary

Increff, a retail SaaS company, is hiring a Platform Engineer II in Bangalore to build and run its cloud platform: infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes operations, observability, security/compliance, and cloud cost optimization. Requires 3+ years in platform/DevOps/SRE roles with hands-on GCP/Azure/AWS, Terraform/Pulumi/CloudFormation, containers, and real coding in Go/Python/TypeSc

Who We Are: Increff is the most preferred retail SaaS partner, solving complex inventory management and supply chain challenges for retailers seeking to revolutionize their supply chains both technologically and operationally.

What We Offer: Our core focus is on providing innovative retail tech solutions, including merchandising and omni channel inventory management. These solutions are meticulously designed to cater to the specific needs of brands and retailers, empowering them to thrive in the dynamic marketplace Innovative technology, comprehensive support, and a dynamic environment for career growth.

Our Vision : To be the most admired retail technology company.

What you'll do
  • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure as code across our cloud environments.
  • Own and improve CI/CD pipelines — build times, test reliability, deployment safety, rollback paths.
  • Build self-service tooling and internal abstractions so product teams can provision, deploy, and debug on their own.
  • Run and extend our observability stack: metrics, logs, traces, alerting, and dashboards that people actually use.
  • Improve reliability through capacity planning, load testing, failure-mode analysis, and incident response.
  • Embed security and compliance into the platform — secrets management, access control, image scanning, policy enforcement.
  • Manage and optimise our Kubernetes footprint (or equivalent runtime) including networking, autoscaling, and workload isolation.
  • Track and reduce cloud spend with clear visibility into cost per service and per team.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, write blameless postmortems, and drive the follow-up work to completion.
  • Document what you build and support the teams adopting it.

Requirements

What we're looking for
  • 3+ years in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles, running production systems at meaningful scale
  • Strong hands-on experience with GCP / Azure / AWS.
  • Solid infrastructure-as-code skills — [Terraform / Pulumi / CloudFormation] — including module design and state management.
  • Production experience with containers and orchestration ([Docker], [Kubernetes / ECS / Nomad]).
  • Comfortable writing real code in at least one language ([Go / Python / TypeScript]) — not just scripts and glue.
  • Practical experience building or operating CI/CD systems ([GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins / Argo CD]).
  • Working knowledge of GitOps-based delivery (Argo CD, Flux, or similar) and comfort introducing it where it doesn't already exist.
  • Good working knowledge of Linux, networking fundamentals, and debugging distributed systems.
  • Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus / Grafana / Datadog / OpenTelemetry) covering metrics, logs, and traces — including hands-on work with monitoring and alerting, not just consuming dashboards someone else built.
  • Working knowledge of policy-as-code and admission control for enforcing security and compliance in the platform.
  • A developer-experience mindset: you measure whether your tooling actually made teams faster, and you talk to the people using it.
  • Clear written communication — design docs, runbooks, and postmortems that others can follow.

Nice to have

  • Experience with service meshes, API gateways, or multi-cluster networking.
  • Database operations experience ([PostgreSQL / MySQL / Redis]) — replication, backups, migrations, tuning.
  • Exposure to compliance frameworks ([SOC 2 / ISO 27001 / GDPR]).
  • Background in FinOps or systematic cloud cost reduction.
  • Experience building internal developer portals ([Backstage] or similar).
  • Experience with Crossplane or similar platform-abstraction tooling for self-service provisioning.
  • Open-source contributions to infrastructure or platform tooling
