Platform Engineer
Summary
Platform Engineer at Prysm Health builds and maintains cloud infrastructure and deployment systems on AWS — Terraform, CI/merge queue, alerting and on-call — while strengthening security (identity, access controls, secrets) and producing HIPAA/SOC 2 compliance evidence, with deep PostgreSQL expertise at the core.
What you'll work on
Build and maintain cloud infrastructure and deployment systems.
Strengthen security through appropriate identity management, access controls, and secrets handling.
Stand up alerting, paging, and an on-call rotation the whole team shares, plus the HIPAA and SOC 2 evidence that good infrastructure produces on its own.
Keep Terraform, CI, and the merge queue fast and safe as the volume of human- and agent-written code grows.
Document platform patterns and establish reusable engineering standards.
You might be a fit if
Experience running production systems on AWS, with Terraform and incidents you have owned through to the postmortem.
Deep PostgreSQL: row-level security, query plans, migrations on live data, and backups you have restored.
You have built authentication, access control, or audit systems and know where they fail open.
You create solutions to problems so that other engineers can focus on their work, and you know when to say no to a request that will create more work for the team.
Bonus points
Experience with k8s, ECS, or other container orchestration systems.
HIPAA, SOC 2, or HITRUST experience.
Multi-region or disaster-recovery design for a stateful system.
