Platform Engineer - Red Hat

We are looking for a Platform Engineer - Red Hat with 4+ years of experience in enterprise patch management, Red Hat Satellite administration, Windows and Linux server administration, vulnerability remediation, and server lifecycle management.

Responsibilities:

• Patch Management: Manage enterprise patching across hundreds/thousands of servers, including patch schedules, maintenance windows, and compliance reporting.
• Red Hat Satellite Administration: Administer Red Hat Satellite, including content views, lifecycle environments, activation keys, repository management, patching, provisioning, and package management.
• Repository and Package Management: Download packages from Red Hat, publish content to repositories, manage RHEL and Alma packages, and troubleshoot Satellite synchronization and repository issues.
• Windows and Linux Administration: Support Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Linux environments, including RHEL/CentOS, with OS-level troubleshooting and server maintenance.
• Vulnerability Remediation: Support vulnerability remediation with a focus on maintaining zero vulnerability days through effective satellite patch management.
• Automation and Change Management: Use PowerShell and Bash/Shell scripting for automation and follow enterprise change-management practices.

Requirements:

• Experience: 4+ years in enterprise infrastructure and patch management.
• Windows Server: Administration experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
• Linux: Administration experience with RHEL/CentOS.
• Patch Management: Strong enterprise patch management experience.
• WSUS: Microsoft WSUS administration, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• SCCM: Administration for OS and application patching, deployment, compliance reporting, and client troubleshooting.
• Red Hat Satellite: Administration experience with content views, lifecycle environments, activation keys, repository management, patching, and provisioning.
• Scale: Experience managing patching across hundreds/thousands of servers.
• Vulnerability Remediation: Experience with vulnerability remediation.
• Scripting: Strong PowerShell and Bash/Shell scripting for automation.
• Server Lifecycle: Experience with server build, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Active Directory: Administration and policy management experience.
• Troubleshooting: Windows and Linux troubleshooting at the OS level.
• Compliance and Scheduling: Experience creating patch schedules, maintenance windows, and compliance reporting.
• Change Management: Experience in enterprise change-management environments.
• Package Management: SCCM, WSUS, RHEL, and Alma package management for Satellite servers, including publishing content to repositories, downloading packages from Red Hat, and resolving Satellite and synchronization issues.
• Zero Vulnerability Day: Expectation for zero vulnerability day management by the Satellite team.
