What You’ll Do

Cloud Infrastructure & System Administration

• Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure resources, including virtual machines, containers, storage services, networks, and security groups.
• Design and implement secure cloud network architectures, including subnets, routing, VPN connectivity, firewalls, and access controls.
• Administer AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud environments supporting Digital Engineering workloads.
• Apply DoD security baselines, STIGs, and cybersecurity best practices across cloud-hosted systems.
• Perform operating system patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities to ensure system reliability and compliance.
• Monitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability using enterprise observability tools.

DevSecOps & CI/CD Platform Engineering

• Develop, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, and container platforms.
• Troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, pipeline performance concerns, and integration challenges.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize software delivery workflows and automate deployment processes.
• Support database integrations, API connectivity, and platform services required for automated software delivery.
• Contribute to the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions.

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) across cloud and platform resources.
• Support vulnerability scanning, remediation efforts, and security incident response activities.
• Ensure compliance with DoD, NIST, and organizational cybersecurity requirements.
• Implement encryption, auditing, logging, and monitoring controls across the platform.
• Participate in security assessments and authorization activities as required.

Platform Operations & Customer Support

• Serve as a technical resource supporting platform users and project teams.
• Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve platform-related incidents and service requests.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders as a subject matter expert on platform capabilities, DevSecOps workflows, and cloud technologies.
• Support hosted engineering tool suites, including GitLab, Atlassian products, and other Digital Engineering services.
• Escalate complex technical issues and coordinate resolution across engineering teams.

Documentation, Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Develop and maintain operational runbooks, system documentation, architecture diagrams, and knowledge base content.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual operational and support activities.
• Contribute to training materials, user guides, and platform onboarding resources.
• Stay current with emerging cloud, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and Digital Engineering technologies.
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives across the platform ecosystem.
