Platform Engineer responsible for building and operating production Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools. You will work with engineering and enterprise customer teams to support healthcare-focused software and AI workloads.
About the Role
Synthio is looking for a Platform Engineer to build and operate the infrastructure that powers Synthio Labs. You’ll work across Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD, observability, security, and developer infrastructure. You’ll also work directly with engineering teams and enterprise customer infrastructure teams, so strong communication is just as important as technical depth.
What You’ll Do
- Build and operate production Kubernetes infrastructure
- Own AWS infrastructure across multiple environments and customer deployments
- Build reliable CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments, rollbacks, and environment provisioning
- Improve observability, reliability, scalability, and security across the platform
- Debug production issues across Kubernetes, networking, databases, and applications
- Build tooling that helps engineers ship faster with less infrastructure overhead
- Work directly with customer infrastructure and security teams on enterprise deployments
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience in production is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
- 3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure, or a similar role
- Strong AWS experience
- Strong understanding of Docker, Linux, networking, DNS, HTTP/TLS, and cloud security
- Experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, or other infrastructure-as-code tooling
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and production incident debugging
- Ability to independently own infrastructure problems end-to-end
Nice to Have
- Experience with EKS, Helm, Argo CD, or similar tooling
- Experience deploying applications into customer-controlled cloud environments
- Experience with enterprise security or compliance requirements
- Experience operating real-time, voice, or AI workloads
