Summary

Salary: £41,000 - 81,000 per year
Requirements:- At least 5 years of significant experience in platform engineering, infrastructure operations or cloud services, including responsibility for business-critical platform services.
- Evidence of technical leadership capability, mentoring, team coordination or delivery of complex initiatives.
- Demonstrable technical leadership across platform domains including compute, virtualisation, storage, backup, identity services, cloud platforms and platform automation, with the ability to set technical direction and support the development of others.
- Strong practical experience implementing automation, infrastructure-as-code and platform engineering approaches to improve consistency, reduce manual effort and enable scalable service delivery.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and day-to-day operational oversight for our platforms and infrastructure services, including compute, storage, virtualisation, backup and cloud foundations.
- Ensure our services are reliable, secure, scalable and well-run while progressively modernising how our platform estate is built and operated.
- Embed automation, infrastructure-as-code, observability, platform reliability and continuous improvement while maintaining the stability, scalability and recoverability of our business-critical platform estate.
- Drive adoption of reusable platform services, self-service capabilities and standardised engineering approaches, while maintaining appropriate security, governance and operational controls.
