Platform Engineering Lead

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Full-Stack Engineer / Technical Lead to take end-to-end ownership of a marketing data platform serving the pharmaceutical industry.
The platform is a Laravel + Vue.js application running on GCP, backed by PostgreSQL and ClickHouse. You will be responsible for deciding how the product is built, setting the technical direction, making architecture decisions, and ensuring that what you build is reliable and production-ready.
This is not a people-management role. You will work closely with the Product Lead and a small team of developers and QA engineers, using AI-assisted development tools to increase your leverage and delivery speed.
What You’ll Do
Own the web platform end to end, including the Laravel API, Vue 3 SPA, PostgreSQL database, and deployment process
Take features from initial product discussions through to production: data modeling, API design, UI implementation, testing, and rollout
Work directly with the Product Lead to define weekly priorities without an additional management or ticket-management layer
Design and implement scalable solutions for large volumes of campaign and marketing data
Query and transform data across PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and ClickHouse
Optimize dashboards and data-intensive functionality working with hundreds of millions of records
Make architectural and technology decisions and establish technical standards
Own platform reliability, monitoring, alerting, security, and incident response
Ensure the secure and responsible handling of healthcare-professional data
Review and validate AI-generated code, ensuring that everything shipped meets production-quality standards
AI-Assisted Development
AI-assisted development is an integral part of the engineering workflow.
You will use tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to delegate repetitive and mechanical development tasks while focusing your time on architecture, data correctness, system design, and security.
We are looking for someone who understands both the opportunities and limitations of AI coding tools. You should be comfortable reviewing generated code critically, identifying incorrect or unsafe solutions, and replacing them when necessary.
Ultimately, you remain responsible for the quality, reliability, and security of everything that reaches production.
Requirements
5+ years of professional full-stack development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Laravel/PHP, including Eloquent, queues, events, service providers, and automated testing
Strong experience with Vue 3, including Composition API, Pinia, Vue Router, or similar modern frontend technologies
Strong SQL skills and practical experience with an analytical data platform such as BigQuery, ClickHouse, Snowflake, or similar
Solid PostgreSQL experience beyond basic CRUD, including indexing, query optimization, execution plans, and migrations on live databases
Experience designing and implementing scalable data-intensive applications
Experience using AI coding assistants as part of your regular development workflow
Strong ability to review, debug, and validate AI-generated code
Ability to take technical ownership and make independent architecture and implementation decisions
AI baseline

Uses AI coding/engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot several times per week
Comfortable delegating repetitive engineering tasks to AI while retaining ownership of the final implementation
Can use AI for troubleshooting, scripting, documentation, code review, and automation
Able to critically review AI-generated infrastructure and application code, particularly for security, reliability, and production risks
Nice to have: experience building AI agents, automated workflows, MCP-based tools, orchestration, or agentic development environments
Nice to Have
Experience in ad-tech, mar-tech, or marketing analytics, including concepts such as impressions, clicks, attribution windows, and audience matching
Experience working with healthcare or pharmaceutical data, particularly consent, privacy, and PII
Experience with GCP at the service-design level, including Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and GCS
Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Pulumi or Terraform
Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or other end-to-end testing frameworks
Strong TypeScript skills
Experience with Vite and modern frontend build tooling
