Hands-on tech lead for Betsson Group's cloud/platform infrastructure team in Budapest: building and operating AWS-based platform capabilities through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), Kubernetes, CI/CD and observability, while coaching engineers, reviewing designs and leading incident response.
- Hands-on technical leadership for a team building and operating cloud and platform capabilities
- Shaping technical solutions with Architects
- Building POCs
- Reviewing implementations
- Coaching and unblocking engineers
- Sharing knowledge and promoting collaboration
- Supporting technical assessments and code reviews
- Leading technical incident response and RCA
- Ensuring production-ready, resilient solutions with rollback strategies
- Driving observability including logs, metrics, traces and SLOs
- Building and improving AWS-based capabilities through automation and Infrastructure as Code
- Collaborating across Platform Engineering teams including Kubernetes, Observability, Delivery, Security and Architecture
- Strong experience in AWS and cloud engineering in production environments
- Experience with AWS edge and networking technologies such as CloudFront, Route 53, WAF, load balancing, CDN and edge computing
- Good working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerised platforms
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation, particularly Terraform and Ansible
- Experience with modern CI/CD practices
- Comfortable with hands-on code, infrastructure, configuration and troubleshooting
- Experience with code reviews, technical design discussions and POCs
- Strong understanding of observability and reliability including logs, metrics, traces and SLOs
- Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership without formal management authority
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions, trade-offs and risks
