Platform Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on AWS cloud infrastructure, platform modernization, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), DevSecOps enablement, CI/CD automation, cloud governance, observability, and operational support. The selected candidate will work closely with product, engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and vendor teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and enterprise DevSecOps platforms such as SHIP/HATS.
• Implement cloud monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures using Confluence.
• Support cloud security, governance, compliance, vulnerability remediation, and audit activities.
• Manage platform operations, incident management, root cause analysis, and vendor coordination activities.

Mandatory Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on AWS infrastructure experience.
• Proven experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or similar technologies.
• Experience supporting SHIP, HATS, or equivalent enterprise DevSecOps platforms.
• Strong knowledge of AWS networking, IAM, security, monitoring, and logging
• Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows Server and RHEL environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator).
• Experience in Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) or regulated cloud environments.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, and CloudWatch.
