[What you will be working on]
- Design, implement, and manage highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure, particularly on GCC AWS, to support a wide range of digital
initiatives. - Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform,
Ansible, CloudFormation). - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure optimal platform health and reliability.
- Manage and optimize containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for application deployment and orchestration.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and ensure efficient release cycles.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with application requirements and best practices.
- Develop and enforce security best practices across all infrastructure components, including network security, access control, and data
protection. - Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical platform incidents.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve infrastructure efficiency and capabilities.
- Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
[What we are looking for]
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a Platform, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering role, with a strong focus on cloud platforms (AWS).
- Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles, services (compute, storage, networking, databases), and security best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Cloudwatch, Grafana).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Please note that this will be a 2-year fixed term contract.
