Platform Manager
We're partnering with a leading enterprise organisation to appoint a Platform Manager (People Systems) responsible for the strategic ownership and lifecycle management of a portfolio of HR and payroll platforms. Reporting to the Head of People Systems, this role will play a pivotal part in defining platform strategy, governance, investment priorities and service outcomes across the organisation.
This is not a project delivery role. Instead, you'll provide platform stewardship, ensuring systems remain aligned to business objectives while maximising value, managing risk and driving continuous improvement. You'll work closely with People & Culture, Technology, business stakeholders and strategic vendors to ensure the platform portfolio remains modern, resilient and fit for the future.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the strategic direction and lifecycle management of the People Systems platform portfolio.
- Develop and maintain a multi-year platform roadmap aligned to business and people strategies.
- Prioritise investment decisions based on value, risk, compliance and business outcomes.
- Manage strategic suppliers, vendors and partner relationships to ensure service delivery expectations are met.
- Monitor platform health, availability, resilience and operational performance.
- Lead governance forums, performance reviews and contract management activities.
- Oversee platform risks, controls, audit readiness and compliance obligations.
- Drive standardisation, optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives across the platform landscape.
- Manage end-of-life planning, technical debt and technology currency activities.
- Monitor vendor roadmaps and emerging technologies to inform future direction.
- 7+ years' experience in information technology and enterprise platform management.
- Experience managing complex HR, payroll or enterprise application platforms.
- Strong vendor, supplier and commercial management experience.
- Experience defining operating models, service performance measures and governance frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Experience leading technical teams or coordinating multiple capability areas.
- The ability to translate platform health, risks and control gaps into clear business outcomes and improvement plans.
- Exposure to HR and payroll platforms such as Oracle, UKG, Dayforce and SAP.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or a related discipline.
- Relevant industry certifications.
