Platform Software Engineer - Network Protocols

Role Overview:

Expertise in development and optimization of Linux based bare-metal/virtualized platform software on various CPUs/GPUs/DPUs/Network Processors/ASICs/FPGAs for 4G/5G RAN and Core network elements.

Tech Stack & Skills:

- VPP, DPDK, DOCA, SRIOV, RDMA, OVS/OVN, XDP/eBPF for user space packet processing.

- SmartNIC, SoC, DPU/FPGA/ASIC offload architecture for user plane and radio acceleration.

- Multi-Process and Multi-Threaded design.

- Root-cause analysis for packet loss, interrupt storms, NUMA imbalance, and time-sync instability.

- Networking protocols: Ethernet, IP, eCPRI, PTP, TCP/UDP/GTP/SCTP.

- Build environments (makefiles), CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes.

- C/C++, Python & OO Concepts.

Responsibilities:

- Systems Engineering, design, architecture, coding, debugging and deployment of 4G/5G network element Platform software systems.

- Review and Mentor high performance Platform software teams.

- Drive large scale 4G/5G Platform software development, sustenance and customer support programs.

- Communicate with senior levels of internal and external stakeholders.

Certifications:

- CNCF Kubernetes, RedHat Openshift.
