BHN is seeking a playground assistant for the Early Intervention department.

What You’ll Do:
The Playgroup Assistant supports the Early Intervention Program by providing child supervision, engagement, and childcare support during playgroups. This role contributes to a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children and families.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide supervision and engage enrolled children during playgroups under the direction of the Playgroup Leader.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of playgroup activities before and after each session.
- Maintain a clean, organized environment in accordance with EEC cleaning and sanitization standards.
- Change diapers and attend to the personal care needs of children as required.
- Read to children and participate in age-appropriate activities that support learning and development.
- Support a positive, welcoming atmosphere for children and families participating in the program.
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in an early childhood setting preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of behavior management experience preferred.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred; training will be provided for the selected candidate as needed.
- Bilingual skills are preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and child engagement skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a supportive and family-centered environment.
