Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright-based test automation. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks and test suites to ensure high-quality application releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Develop and enhance scalable UI/API test automation frameworks.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute automated test suites, analyze failures, and report defects with appropriate evidence.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform root-cause analysis for automation and application failures.
• Participate in defect triage and support timely resolution of quality issues.
• Follow QA best practices, coding standards, and test automation standards.
• Mentor/support team members on automation practices where required.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation testing.
• Strong programming/scripting knowledge in TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Good understanding of web application testing and modern test automation frameworks.
• Experience with API testing and validation.
• Knowledge of Git/version-control practices.
• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps-based testing practices.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, STLC, defect management, and Agile delivery.
• Good debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills appropriate for a senior QA role.

Good to Have

• Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Exposure to cloud-based applications and cross-browser testing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Knowledge of performance, accessibility, or security testing would be an advantage.
