PLC Programmer
Summary
Programs and maintains PLC and SCADA systems for maritime automation, traveling internationally to retrofit and troubleshoot systems onboard vessels.
We are seeking for a PLC & SCADA Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and retrofitting our existing systems, which will involve traveling internationally and working onboard vessels.
Responsibilities:
Traveling overseas and onboard vessels to support and retrofit existing systems.
Meeting with clients to discuss their mechanical or electrical automation needs.
Analyzing system requirements and amending existing code to meet new needs.
Troubleshooting system errors effectively.
Overseeing the successful installation of new PLC programs.
Documenting all development processes thoroughly.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience as a PLC programmer.
Familiarity with major PLC brands such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley (AB), or Wago.
Proficiency in SCADA systems.
Ability to understand and interpret simple mechanical or electrical schematics.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and logical approaches to problem-solving.
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Electrical and mechanical engineering experience is preferred.
