PLC Programmer

About the role

At IMAN Global Consulting, a Technical, Middle, and C-Suite profile Selection Consultancy, we are looking for a PLC Programmer for a company located in Cardedeu, Barcelona.

We are looking for a person with experience in industrial automation, with the ability to participate in the development of projects from programming to the commissioning of machinery.

What you'll do

- Programming and modification of PLCs, mainly Siemens.

- HMI development and configuration.

- Programming of sequences and automation for industrial machinery.

- Configuration and adjustment of drives, sensors, and other automation elements.

- Diagnosis and resolution of faults related to automation and control.

- Carrying out operational tests and adjustments.

- Commissioning of machinery, both at our facilities and at the client's.

- Collaboration with the electrical, mechanical, and assembly departments during project development.

- Modification and improvement of existing programs.

What we're looking for

- Minimum experience of between 3-5 years.

- Training in Industrial Automation and Robotics, Industrial Electronics, Electronic/Automatic Engineering, or similar.

- Previous experience in PLC programming and industrial machinery automation.

- Knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal.

- Experience with HMI and industrial communications.

- Ability to interpret electrical diagrams.

- Valuable experience creating programs and projects from scratch, not only modifications or maintenance.

- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.

- An autonomous, resourceful person accustomed to working coordinately with other technical departments.

- Availability to travel occasionally, nationally and internationally, for commissioning.

- Permanent contract.

- Full-time. Monday to Thursday 8:00h-17:00h and Friday 7:00h-14:00h
