PLM Windchill Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain PTC Windchill PLM solutions using Java, J2EE, Windchill APIs, JSP, and Servlets.
• Design and implement Windchill customizations including workflows, lifecycle states, object types, OIRs, access controls, and business rules.
• Develop and support Info*Engine tasks, custom components, actions, validators, listeners, and services.
• Create and maintain QML and Jasper Reports based on business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Windchill configurations, customizations, integrations, and application functionality.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, code reviews, defect fixing, and root cause analysis.
• Support Windchill upgrades, migrations, deployments, releases, and production implementations.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, integration teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable PLM solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, design documents, and deployment guides.
• Follow development standards, source code management processes, and best practices within an Agile environment.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in PTC Windchill Development and Customization.
• Strong expertise in Windchill, PTC PLM, Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, and Windchill APIs.
• Experience with Windchill Workflows, Lifecycles, OIRs, Object Types, Business Rules, and Access Control.
• Hands-on experience developing Info*Engine tasks, custom actions, listeners, validators, and services.
• Good understanding of Windchill architecture, business objects, and data models.
• Experience with QML Reports, Jasper Reports, SQL Queries, and Oracle Databases.
• Exposure to Windchill REST Services, integrations, upgrades, and migration projects is preferred.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using Jira.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with global and cross-functional teams.
