Plumbing Designer - Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Designer to support the design of plumbing systems for commercial office buildings, government facilities, schools, and healthcare facilities. This role will focus on developing plumbing layouts, coordinating designs with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with applicable plumbing codes.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems, including sanitary, grease, domestic and hot water, stormwater, compressed air, and gas piping.
• Develop and coordinate plumbing layouts using Revit.
• Review drawings and design information from vendors, clients, engineers, and architects, recommending changes as needed.
• Coordinate project details with engineers, technicians, and other design disciplines.
• Research plumbing code requirements and communicate with city, county, and state officials as needed.
• Troubleshoot design issues and help ensure accurate, code-compliant project deliverables.
• Maintain clear communication with project teams throughout the design process.

Requirements

• 5+ years of plumbing design experience, preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit.
• Knowledge of applicable plumbing codes.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience using AutoCAD.
• Experience designing plumbing systems for commercial, government, educational, or healthcare facilities.
• Experience coordinating plumbing designs with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
