Provisioning of anesthetic care for patients and consultation for preoperative evaluations. Performing interventional procedures, including, but not limited to: Epidurals Joint injections Sympathetic blocks Working with multiple divisions/services throughout the facility to improve outcomes and efficiencies. Supervising PM&R residents, to include education, teaching, and all administrative tasks involved with supervision of said residents. Assist with medication management for chronic pain, including expertise in opioid management and prescribing techniques. Collaborating with nursing and other clinical staff to meet common facility goals. Performing the administrative components of patient care management, such as documentation of evaluations, progress notes, reports, summaries, signatures, and consultation referrals for both in/outpatients following facility and service guidelines. Participating in inter-service rounds, interdisciplinary meetings, conferences, Grand Rounds, TJC/CARF activities, and any other relevant activity to assist the program, service, and facility.
