Discussion

Description

The role covers multiple, concurrent finance transformation workstreams across LATAM, not a single system or program. Typical workstreams include ERP and finance systems changes, process standardization, controls uplift, and reporting and consolidation improvements.
• Covers QIMA finance entities across LATAM. The role is based in Brazil and works remotely.
• Coordinates with the Global PMO Manager on methodology, templates, and cross-regional reporting cadence.
• Coordinates with in-country finance leads and any local implementation partners or vendors.

• Implement and maintain the PMO governance framework (stage gates, steering committee cadence, RACI) for LATAM finance transformation initiatives, aligned to the Global PMO’s methodology and templates.
• Act as the primary regional point of contact between the Global PMO Manager and LATAM project teams.
• Build and maintain integrated roadmaps and milestone plans across concurrent finance transformation workstreams in the region.
• Track interdependencies between initiatives and flag scheduling conflicts or resource bottlenecks.
• Own the RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) log for LATAM finance transformation initiatives.
• Escalate material risks to the Global PMO Manager and regional finance leadership; drive mitigation plans to closure.
• Produce standardized status reporting (progress, budget, risk) for LATAM initiatives, feeding into global program reporting.
• Prepare and run regional steering committee materials; support the Global PMO Manager in global steering committee reporting.
• Localize key communications for LATAM stakeholders in Portuguese, Spanish, and English as needed.
• Track budget consumption and realized benefits for finance transformation initiatives in the region against the approved business case.
• Flag variances and support corrective action planning.
• Coordinate with change management and training resources to prepare LATAM stakeholders for process, system, or organizational changes coming out of transformation initiatives.
• Coordinate regional resource allocation across initiatives.
• Liaise with external implementation partners or vendors operating in LATAM.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of PMO tools, templates, and processes, feeding regional lessons learned back into the Global PMO.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years in PMO, project/program management, or finance transformation roles, ideally within a multinational or shared-services environment.
  • Experience supporting finance-related transformation programs (for example ERP implementations, process re-engineering, or financial close/consolidation improvements). Direct hands-on ERP delivery experience is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Experience working across multiple LATAM countries or entities within a matrixed or global organization.
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with PPM/collaboration tools (for example MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or Monday.com).
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting and analysis.
  • Familiarity with finance/ERP systems (for example NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) is an advantage.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification is desirable
  • Portuguese: native, required, for engagement with Brazilian stakeholders and local entities.
  • English: required, business fluency (written and spoken), used for global reporting.
  • Spanish: desirable, business fluency for regional stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong stakeholder management across a global/matrixed reporting structure.
  • Structured, concise communication; comfortable presenting to senior finance and transformation leadership.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving transformation environment.
  • Cross-cultural fluency and adaptability across LATAM markets.
  • On-time, on-budget delivery across tracked initiatives.
  • Quality, timeliness, and accuracy of reporting into the Global PMO.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction among regional finance leadership and the Global PMO.
  • Effectiveness of risk identification and mitigation, measured by fewer issues escalated late.
