Provides uniformed, armed law enforcement protection and services by the authority of the Attorney General of North Carolina.
Required
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) Certification.
• Must meet and maintain all pre-employment and in-service standards for commission as company police officer as set by the Attorney General.
• Valid NC driver’s license with violations not exceeding health system standards or insurance carrier regulations.
• Certification in CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) curriculum units 1-7 and 10 only within six months of employment and annual recertification.
• BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required within three months of employment date.
Preferred
Some College Courses.
Work Experience:
Required
One year of experience as a sworn law enforcement officer. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
Preferred
More than two years of experience.
