This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Direct-Hire Auth (Domestic DIB, MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at Letterkenny Army Depot, Dir of Emergency Services, law Enforcement Br., performing search and arrest authority, collecting and preserving evidence on criminal cases, and conducting traffic law enforcement.

Respond to emergency calls and alarms, assesses probable cause, exercises search and arrest authority, and performs initial lifesaving first aid as a first responder.

Collect and preserve physical evidence, conduct routine preliminary investigations, and interview witnesses. Prepare case facts under established guidelines and provides clear, truthful testimony in military, federal, or state courts.

Operate specialized traffic equipment (radar, Lidar, breathalyzer) during patrols, conduct investigative stops, issue citations, executes high-speed pursuits when necessary, and manage traffic control points.

Protect personnel, tactical military assets, and high-value assets by executing comprehensive Antiterrorism/Force Protection measures to deter and deny unauthorized access, and maintains proficiency through installation AT exercises.

Operate National Crime Information Center terminals to transcribe data in compliance with regulations. Generate standard police reports, processes fingerprints/DNA samples, and prepare administrative documentation.
