Policy Admin Executive
Job Responsibilities
- Upload employee movements (additions, changes, and terminations) into the portal and inform insurers within the established turnaround time.
- Prepare renewal data for submission to insurers and clients in accordance with the defined process steps.
- Handle daily exception reports generated from data uploads.
- Manage assigned accounts, ensuring all account-related matters are attended to in a timely manner.
- Handle appeals and escalations from clients (HR/employees) relating to medical underwriting.
- Liaise with underwriters on underwriting requirements and update insurers' decisions in the portal.
- Liaise with the Contact Centre on policy administration-related matters.
- Prepare the required documents for mail merge.
- Seek guidance from the manager on a timely basis for unresolved issues.
- Remain flexible and maintain a positive attitude towards changing business needs.
- Adhere to PDPA and compliance requirements, and immediately escalate any violations to the manager.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) during renewals, new system feature releases, and new client implementations.
- Manage day-to-day operational and administrative tasks related to billing.
- Handle bill adjustment requests and verify invoice details against supporting documents.
- Check billing data for accuracy in the accounting system and generate Debit Notes when required.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the manager relating to census management.
Requirements
- Diploma holder with a minimum of 2–3 years of working experience in the insurance industry.
- Exercises good judgement and discretion, with a strong customer and quality focus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Takes ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, with the ability to prioritize work effectively and see tasks through to completion.
- More experienced insurance billing specialists are expected to work with minimal direction and supervision.
