Policy Analyst
This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Strategy, Policy and Plans (PLCY), Border Security & Immigration (BSI). The primary purpose of this position is to independently carry out a full range of policy development, policy review; and strategy to complete each phase of special assignments critical to DHS's mission. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
As an Policy Analyst, GS-0301-13, your typical work assignments may include: Advising Border Security and Immigration Policy leadership on current policy workstreams, identifying challenges and providing recommendations for actions and advancement of critical departmental priorities. Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders. Represent DHS at interagency meetings and with other stakeholders to inform the development and implementation of border security and immigration-related policies, plans, and strategies. Reviewing long-/short-range policy plans, priorities, justifications, etc. to give recommendations and/or advice on planning and implementation efforts that require additional resources.
