Pool Maintenance Tech
- Perform daily chemical tests-update maintenance logs with results. Address any deficiencies and report equipment malfunction immediately.
- Add chemicals as needed.
- Vacuum pools regularly, keeping them free of dirt and debris.
- Check appropriate water levels. Fill as needed. Report leaks.
- Check pool and spa water temperature. Be sure heaters are working properly. Adjust heaters to meet seasonal needs.
- Check all equipment to be sure it's functioning properly, motors, pumps, filters, flowmeters, auto fillers, etc. Report any signs of wear and tear.
- Be sure all pool safety equipment is in place, i.e., safety rings, ropes, anti-entrapment devices. Be sure all items are present and functioning properly, performing tests as needed for anti-entrapment devices.
- Perform maintenance on chlorinators, chemical feeders, valves, and pumps. Assess any electrical issues relating to the proper functioning of pool equipment.
- Responsible for inventory, i.e., chemicals, pool lights, cartridges, fittings, etc.
- Be sure all pool pump rooms are clean and free of debris.
- Assess and report any uneven surfaces or safety hazards surrounding pool decks.
- Report any inappropriate behavior of tenants and guests that pose safety issues. Report any use of glass objects, bottles, etc. in the pool area. Report any contaminants found in the pool, i.e. fecal matter, that may present a health hazard to guests. Assess and report any uneven surfaces or safety hazards surrounding pool decks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
