Pool Technician
Summary
Pool technicians maintain swimming pools, spas, and water features at a private members club, testing and balancing water chemistry, cleaning and vacuuming pools, and repairing pool equipment like pumps and filters to ensure safety compliance and a clean environment for members and guests.
Your responsibilities include maintaining the safe and efficient operation of all swimming pools, spas, and related water features on the property, all aimed at fostering connections and ensuring our team thrives together in a spirit of collaboration and shared purpose.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver service with care and attention, always prioritizing quality and the well-being of the Members.
• Maintain proper chemical balance and water quality in all pools and spas by regularly testing and adjusting chemical levels (e.g., pH, chlorine, alkalinity, calcium hardness).
• Clean and vacuum pools and spas, including skimming debris, brushing walls and tiles, and emptying skimmer baskets.
• Maintain and repair pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, and automated control systems.
• Monitor pool and spa operations, identifying and resolving any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records of chemical readings, maintenance activities, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations related to pool operation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool areas, including decks, furniture, and surrounding areas.
• Respond to member and guest inquiries and concerns regarding pool and spa operations.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures for pools, including covering and uncovering pools, and preparing for seasonal changes.
• Perform preventative maintenance on pool equipment to prolong its lifespan and prevent costly repairs.
• Maintain inventory of pool chemicals and supplies, and notify management when reordering is necessary.
